TIERRA MANIGAULT

When Tierra Manigault comes to mind the acronym of GOLF: Gift of Life for Me is perfect. Tierra began playing golf at the age of 7. She was introduced to the game by her mother, Yolanda Manigault. The two would have never guessed the impact the game of golf would have on their lives. Tierra turned to golf to help her through troubled times. She devoted so much time to golf she quickly noticed improvement in her game, which drove her to continue to play. Tierra’s improvement in her game and her many accomplishments gained the attention of Eddie Payton, head golf coach at Jackson State University, where she earned a combination academic and golf scholarship.

In 2000, Tierra won the Southwestern Athletic Conference Individual title. She and her fellow teammates at Jackson State University won the SWAC title in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003. In 2001, the team also made a historic appearance in the NCAA Golf Regionals becoming the first all Black Female team to make it to the regionals. The team would appear in the regionals, again, in 2002

Tierra has many accomplishments:

	In 2001 and 2002 she tied for 1^st place in the SWAC Collegiate Championship Individual Title
	In 2002 she was the National Minority Women’s Collegiate Championship Individual Champion
	Numerous Top finishes
	3 hole-in-ones, in 2001, 2002, and 2003
	2005 and 2006, held the title of “Best Lady Golfer of the West” in the Super Challenge Annual Golf Tournament
	2007 became the Western States Annual Golf Association Annual Women’s Champion
	Currently a Tour Player on the Duramed Futures Tour

Tierra is hoping to capture her first professional victory and go on to play on the LPGA tour. To accomplish this task Tierra needs your help. She is comes from a low-income household and is asking for help to reach her dream of playing in the LPGA. Tierra is asking for monetary support for entry fees, room accommodations, travel expenses and/or golf equipment. All donations are tax deductible (please contact your Tax accountant for details).
